I'm upgrading my graphics card I have no display adapter in my device manager

Tony, do you know if the 8400GS is any good? Was the P73 a AGP slot
Card?. If yes, go into the Bios and look for any settings
for the graphic card. There might be a change from AGP to PCI.
Truthfully I have never heard of a P73 though it may be from a
another area of the planet.

I have attempted to update my Nvidia P73 graphics card with a 8400GS,
but when I went to disable my current display adapters, I had not
display adapter button in my device manager, though I did have a Video
Controller under other devices. If I plug in the new PCI-based video
card, I have no screen after the dell BIOS (doesn't seem to be booting
windows), but if I plug in the old card, it'll boot windows.
I know very, very little about computers.
I've tried to update my chipset, but this doesn't give me display
adapters back. Maybe I'm not updating properly?
